Wouter Davidts is postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning of Ghent University (UGent). In the Fall of 2006 he was a British Academy Visiting Fellow at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Since the summer of 2007, he is a research fellow at the Lectoraat Beeldende Kunst, Academie voor Kunst en Vormgeving/St Joost, Avans Hogeschool. In the Fall of 2008, he will be a visiting research fellow at the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds. In recent years he has published on the museum, contemporary art and architecture in magazines such as Architecture d’Aujourd’hui, Archis, De Witte Raaf, Footprint, Kritische Berichten, OPEN, OASE and Parachute, and in books and exhibition catalogues. He is Belgian correspondent for Artforum. He is the author of Bouwen voor de kunst? Museumarchitectuur van Centre Pompidou tot Tate Modern (A&S/books, 2006) and co-editor of B-sites (2000) and the textual part of Denkmal ISBN 9080842427, the second volume by the belgian artist Jan De Cock (Atelier Jan De Cock, 2006). In 2007 he curated the show Beginners & Begetters at Extra City, Center for Contemporary Art, Antwerp. He is currently working on a book on size and scale in contemporary art and architecture.
